Hostel Management System Project Using VB.Net 2010 & MS Access 2007 for 1st Sem BCA or MCA Student's.

Introduction

With the advancement of technology, application areas of computer are rising day by day. Every sector desires its procurement for fast accurate and automated operations. Therefore different program are developed to meet the requirement of various types of users i.e. related to any field. This project includes some of the activities in which the hostel is managed. The activities like the admin management, the student’s registrations, the student’s records, etc are included. This is mini project so I used only some modules to create this project. In terms of security this software is totally secure as it doesn't give access to unauthorized user as the username and password facility is provided.

This software product the hostel management is to improve their services for all the students of the hostel. This also reduce the manual work of the persons in admin penal and the bundle of registers that were search when to find the information of a previous student, because through this system you can store the data of those students who had left the hostel.

Through this you can check the personal profile of all the current students within few minutes the data base of the system will help you to check a particular one.

• To make the present manual system more interactive, speedy and user friendly.
• To avail any information, whatever and whenever needed.

Conclusion

The project monitoring has been designed to maintain the details of the ongoing projects in the organization of the project system design using Vb.Net and Ms Access both are open source. This application also helps to generate various reports as and when required.

The following conclusion can be deduced from the development of the project:

• This project offers admin to enter the data through simple & interactive manner.
• Admin can handle all the information related to Students & Canteen also.
• Data storage will become faster and easier to maintain.

Installation & run

1. Click on the below link to access & Download WinRar file and Extract file (while extracting file enter password: SKN).
2. Later go to debug which is located in file D:\HMS PROJECT SKN\HMS Project\bin\debug & double click on the application to run.
